Her Photo: Click the image to view larger.

Well todays photo is a bit different, today myself and a friend of mine decided we would have a competition between the both of us, the competition was that we both had to take a photo and edit the photo within 30 mins, then we would judge between ourselves whose photo was better.

Also on other news my mum just paid for a new $300 tripod for me for Christmas, now i just need a head for it lol :) should help me in low light and for landscapes, ill also create a post when it arrives and take some pics of it :)

"A photograph is just a picture if it doesn't say anything."

Day thirteen, so today i thought maybe ill try something different. And so i did, today its a little more abstract i guess you could say but also at the same time it would classify as still life, but ill let you decide, also i wont ruin it for you and tell you what its a photo of, although its quite obvious.
Also i haven't started typing the tutorials just of yet as i am inundated in photos, as i just did a 21st birthday for someone and have over 600 photos to edit, crop and deliver so atm thats top of the list.

Heres today photo it was a bit rushed, but i have my reasons so don't get angry, :) it was just a quick shot and edit, same equipment, i seem to be really loving my new 100mm 2.8 anyways thats probably because its the best quality lens i have.

Hope you enjoy the shot, sorry its not that great my creative juices wernt flowing to well today, plus i got home at 2 which didnt help because i like to take photo earlier in the day i seem to have better thoughts then, anyways got to go.

Day One

Click the image to view larger.

"If your photos aren't good enough, your not close enough"

Well its day one, work up today thinking macro subjects although after spending more than 40 minutes crouched down outside with my camera trying to get photos of bees i gave up, i came to the conclusion that i was giving up because:
  1. It was overcast and i wasn't getting enough light
  2. They kept being frightened away by my lens, now i kinda a wish a had a 180mm macro lens
  3. My knee hurt
So i thought maybe its time for a change of subject, went inside picked up mini Danboard and big Danboard and took them to the kitchen, i chose the kitchen because it had quite a bit of light coming through the window and cuz the kitchen just sounded like a good idea, spent awhile playing around with them trying to find a good position, and something that could interact with and i thought ill put mini danboard on the pepper grinder and place the other one in the foreground, i think it turned out ok, not great but ok :).

Hope you enjoy the picture.

Start of something new

Click the image to view larger.
"The best camera you have, is the one you own now"
So this is my first post, tonight im starting my new blog, this blog will be part of a new project i am starting to better my skills in photography and also to get me to use my camera a bit more.
I guess as ive been wanting to take some photos recently but i just haven't had the time or any reason to really, although since the holidays are coming up along with Christmas, my P's test next month (hopefully i pass),  New Yeas and so much more, this seems the best time to start something new and interesting in my life, so Tomorrow Saturday the 4th of November i will start so called "Project 365" this project will involve one photo being taken everyday then being posted onto this blog. Please comment/leave a message, and if you have any questions please do ask.

Also along with this i may also add a few tutorials in various photography related subjects and much more so stay tuned and Enjoy

P.s i added a photo i took a few weeks ago just for the sake of it.
